Checked my usual books this morning and the Senators went from +165 to +140 against the Rangers in less than 8 hours. That's a 25-cent move with no obvious news breaking.

Stutzle took that awkward hit in practice yesterday but nothing official from the team. DraftKings still showing +165 as of 6:30 AM EST while Bet365 and FanDuel both moved to +140. Either someone knows something about lineup changes or there's serious money coming in on Ottawa.

Anyone else tracking this line movement? The total also dropped from 6.5 to 6 across most books, which makes me think it's injury-related rather than just sharp action on the Sens.

Line moves like that usually mean injury news is about to break. If it was just whale action, you'd see the move happen gradually across books, not this synchronized jump. The total dropping confirms it - books are pricing in a key player being out.

Had a similar situation last month with the Flames when Huberdeau was a game-time decision. Books moved Calgary from +130 to +105 about 6 hours before puck drop, then he was officially scratched 2 hours later. Made a killing on the Rangers at the inflated price.

I've been tracking these overnight moves all season and they're right about 75% of the time when it comes to injury news. The smart money gets wind of lineup decisions before they go public. I grabbed Rangers -155 at Tooniebet right after seeing your post - their lines usually lag behind the sharp books by 30-45 minutes on NHL games.

If Stutzle is out, Rangers should be closer to -180 favorites given their recent home form. That practice hit looked worse on the replay than initially reported.

The synchronized move across multiple books suggests this isn't just recreational money. When FanDuel and Bet365 move together like that, it's usually because their trading desks got the same information. I'd expect official injury news within the next few hours.

Worth noting the Rangers are also on a back-to-back while Ottawa had two days rest. That line movement becomes even more significant when you factor in the scheduling advantage Ottawa already had.

Classic trap game setup. Everyone's gonna pile on Rangers now thinking they have inside info.

Been watching this unfold on the live markets too. The in-play pricing algorithms at Donbet already adjusted their pre-game models - they're showing Rangers -162 now compared to -145 yesterday evening. Their system usually factors in rumored lineup changes about 4-6 hours before other books catch up.

The concerning part is how the puck line moved too. Rangers went from -1.5 +190 to -1.5 +165, which tells me books are expecting a blowout if the injury rumors are true. Stutzle's been averaging 1.4 points per game over his last 10, so losing him completely changes Ottawa's offensive ceiling.

I'm staying away from the game entirely now. When you see this much market confusion before noon, it usually means more news is coming that could flip everything again.

Market's overreacting. One player doesn't justify a 25-cent swing unless it's McDavid or Pastrnak. Ottawa's deep enough to absorb a Stutzle absence for one game.
