First sportsbook withdrawal — what should I expect on a $500 cashout?

Throwing this open because I want to hear from people who've been through the cycle a few times.

Hi all — first-time poster, first-time withdrawal. Won $500ish on a small NHL parlay (lucky, I know) and the operator wants me to verify before they release it. Is this normal for a first cashout? How long does this usually take, do they actually look at the photo of the ID, and is there anything I'm supposed to do to speed it up? Don't want to mess this up.

I'll just throw mine in. Started small in January, currently a little ahead, mostly because I haven't been greedy. The most useful advice I got from this forum was 'withdraw something every week, even if it's just $20.' Sounds silly but it changes how you think about the balance and it stops the slow drift into chasing.

Hey hey. New-ish to this so reading along more than talking. But — have the documents ready before you have the balance, that's the trick.

What I do is keep it small and ask the room when I'm not sure. Withdraw a small amount first so the big one isn't your first.

First withdrawal is when every operator decides whether they like you.

To answer OP directly with one data point: BetUS has been one of the more reliable books on my list this year. Bonus terms are written in plain English, the rollover is achievable for a normal grinder, and the cashout window has been consistent. I wouldn't say they're the best — that depends on your bet mix — but they've earned a permanent spot in my regular rotation.

From my Notion log on this exact question — photo of the ID, photo of the bill — that's standard. Document mismatch is what stalls it.

Second-order effect most people miss — withdraw a small amount first so the big one isn't your first. I've got the spreadsheet on this if anyone wants it.

Curious if anyone's seeing the same shape over a longer window.

CLV is the only number that matters.

Throwing in my two cents — photo of the ID, photo of the bill — that's standard. Document mismatch is what stalls it.

On the OP's specific point — having documents ready before the win — yeah, have the documents ready before you have the balance, that's the trick.

Adding one specific data point: MyStake has been steady on the metrics that matter — withdrawal turnaround, support response time, no friction at signup.

ID verification is normal — the operators that don't ask are the ones to be careful about. If anyone wants the messy version DM me.

Real talk: ID verification is normal — the operators that don't ask are the ones to be careful about.

Anyway, photo of the ID, photo of the bill — that's standard. Document mismatch is what stalls it.

Will edit if a counter-data point shifts my read.

Casual reply from me. ID verification is normal — the operators that don't ask are the ones to be careful about.

On the ID check delay — first withdrawal is when every operator decides whether they like you.

Photo of the ID, photo of the bill — that's standard. Document mismatch is what stalls it. Anyway, thanks for the writeup.

still figuring it out, b'y.
